What you will achieve
Roll back an update that broke boot, drivers, or apps — then decide whether to pause reinstallation.
1) Remove update from Settings
- Open Settings → Windows Update → Update history → Uninstall updates.
- Select the most recent KB that matches when the issue began, then choose Uninstall.
- Restart and confirm the problem is gone.
2) Remove update from command line
If Settings fails, use Admin Command Prompt:
wmic qfe list brief /format:table
wusa /uninstall /kb:5039212 /quiet /norestart
3) Pause updates temporarily
- Open Settings → Windows Update.
- Set Pause updates for up to 1 week while Microsoft ships a fix.
